It has been too long since my last blog post. Fall is here, but it’s still 80 degrees where I am. The nights are cool, but the days are warm. I don’t mind it, because 80 is better than 100.
I have been so busy with the store that I haven’t had time to check in with everyone. How’s it going? I’m still on track to open November 1, with a potential soft open next weekend, October 18. Keep your eye on social media for more information.
I’ve placed my first wholesale book order to round out the selection in the store. I’m adding “discount” books that are considered publisher overstock. These are brand new books, but I can offer them at a 25-50% discount off of suggested retail price. This allows me to offer a wider selection and some newer releases that I may not be able to find in book trades and estate sales.

I’m reading Hazelthorn and The Haunting of Payne’s Hollow (both on pre-order) this month as my #spookyreads. Both of them look promising! When I have a chance to sit down and read I’ll come back and let you know what I thought of them.
